It has been claimed that Tâcü't-tevârîh is a translation or even a copy of Heşt Bihişt by shortening some parts . Hammer probably suggested this for the first time, after which many domestic and foreign historians adopted the same view. While giving the events and their dates, Hoca Sâdeddin Efendi sometimes compares the dates in a few sources and makes his choice. It is known that Sâdeddin Efendi also kept notes from the period of Suleiman the Magnificent, and these were later edited by his sons. Some copies of Tâcü't-tevârîh contain chapters belonging to the period of Kanûnî. These are called Zeyl-i Tâcü't-tawârîh in the catalogs . The work has been copied in almost every period, starting from the life of the author . There are many manuscript copies in libraries in Turkey and abroad.
