7 RAREST ANIMALS FOUND IN INDIA

India is home to some of the rarest (and most cut!) Animals in the world. Take, for example, a fairy tale sound… The Flying Dragon Lizard Dragons do not exist, and the lizards do not move, do they? In southern India, you will find a lizard that looks like a tiny dragon and can fly! No, it's not a Game of Thrones-style dragon, and it's not technically advanced - the lizard slips from tree to tree. But that doesn't make it unusual! The reptile controls this unprecedented mechanism with the help of a special cell that most of the time looks like loose skin hanging from the sides of an animal's body. When the lizard decides it is time to change its location, it jumps out of the tree and catches the air with its kind of air pockets. Then, the skilled caterpillar stretches its hind arms and uses its neck muscles to stabilize while flying. And even though the lizard does not “fly” exactly, it can travel over 300 feet [190 m] in the air from tree to tree! Pygmy Hogs Just look at this cutie and greet the world's smallest pigs! There were many pygmy pigs in India, Bhutan and Nepal, but these days only about 150 of them live in the wild.

The pygmy pig is usually about 2 meters tall and weighs 20 pounds - yes, a small pig is no bigger than a medium dog! These little boys eat a lot of everything they see: from seeds and roots to insects, eggs, and small reptiles. While sows live in small groups, males prefer to live a solitary life. But when it comes time to mate, the male pigs begin to compete with the sow for trying to intimidate and frighten other males. Can you imagine this little boy trying to look scary? Wow, that's great! Indian Spotted Chevrotain These confusing animals are also called rat deer. No wonder, for they are the tallest of all mammals! The Indian Spotted Chevrotain is less than six feet [2 m] tall and weighs only over 20 pounds [7 kg], making it between the Chihuahua and the Jack Russel Terrier in size. But don't let that little self-deception of-- the long, sharp doors of Chevrotain embarrass the Dracula! The little deer uses them to fight for the couple in the field.

Also, I'm sorry, but I can't think of something as good as intimidation or fighting. But maybe I would have been singing a different genre if I had been a little mouse deer entering this boy’s field! By the way, here's an interesting fact: "chevrotain" means "little goat" in French. A cute little mouse / goat / adorable creature with vampire teeth. Now I have seen it all! Rusty Cat When I say wild cats, what first thing comes to mind? Lions, tigers, panthers? What about a tiny feline that can easily be mistaken for a cat? The seemingly dull cat lives only in the grasslands of India and the mountain forests of Sri Lanka, and is one of the smallest members of the cat family. In fact, this wild kitty is the smallest cat in Asia and is probably twice as big as your average house cat! Note: a cat with sharp spots can only reach 19 inches in length and weighs an average of 3 sons. Yes, it is so smaller than my tubby tabby! Unfortunately, since 2016, this seemingly insignificant cat has been added to the Near Threatened list because its habitat is being destroyed by the wild.

Sloth Bar so, reoaally bear then? That would be a relief if someone crossed your path! But, alas, the bear - not the sloth or any other hybrid of the two. You see, back in the 1700s, people mistakenly classified this species as sloths because of their long claws and the fact that they lived in trees. Now we know that was a mistake, but I think the name has always been there! This bear is not so big, but at 15 to 20 feet [5 to 6 m] tall, it can stand shoulder to shoulder with you! These animals have thick thick coats that vary in color from black to rich nut, with a distinctive white V V on their chests. Interestingly, the sloth bear has the longest tail of all bear species - it can grow up to 7 inches in length! Also, when the bears ate, they sucked the grub and ants with their very long beaks and made funny vacuum-like sounds while they did! But the scary thing about this bear is its paws. Larger in size, decorated with well-developed nails, albeit dull! Well, the shoulder and shoulder posture just got a little scary. Imagine that I would keep my distance!
Indian Flying FoxWe started with flying lizards, and now we have arrived flying foxes? India is truly a land of magic! It has 2 tails, though? Well, jokes aside, this creature is also called the giant fruit animal of India, and it also lives in other parts of South Asia. But it is the largest bat in India, and it is one of the largest species of bats in the world. The Indian flying fox weighs only about two pounds [3 kg], but it is the wing that will lower your jaw - from head to toe, and can climb up to five feet! That's as big as that lazy bear we just talked about! But don't worry, this big belt isn't in your bloodstream - you can probably understand from the name that flying foxes eat a lot of fruit. Unfortunately, it sometimes gets them into trouble with local farmers, who come up with various unsavory ways to save their produce. By the way, Indian flying foxes are very different from other species of bats because they do not use echolocation. Instead, they rely on good looks and fashion to get their food! And now, let's play a guessing game: what little animal has short silk fur, big eyes, and a big bushy tail? SpongeBob hangs out one called Sandy.

Okay, you get it, I’m talking about squirrels. Maybe you’ve only seen them in a solid gray, brown, and maybe even red depending on the type. Now imagine a large, multicolored square holding a nearby tree! Hey, just go to India and you won't need to think because that's where these beautiful creatures live. Shekru, another name for the Malabar Giant squirrel, will stand out from the crowd because of its colorful, colorful costumes. Usually, one squirrel has two or three different colors on its fur. But these colors can vary from creamy-beige, buff, and tan, rust, dark brown, and even purple and blue! But the most amazing thing about a big square is, it's beautiful, it's big! When the animal is stretched, it reaches a height of ten feet [3 m]! Does that mean that if he stands on his hind legs, the square will be up at the waist? No, not at all, for it is the majestic blue-tailed deer that makes up the bulk of the animal's length. On the other hand, weighing just over two pounds [4 kg], the giant squirrels are quite heavy! It may seem that having a bright, vibrant color will not help the animal in the wild because it will stand out from the predators.

But the colorful squirrel coat actually helps it to meet the forest bed and hide from its main enemies: leopards and various carnivorous birds. So, with the help of their amazing coat, the Malabars are very good at avoiding danger5! Also, they are not overly concerned about their diet. They eat almost everything they can find: bark, seeds, flowers, birds' eggs, insects, you name it! Malabar's giant squirrels have not been registered as endangered animals… yet. Unfortunately, the number of squirrels is declining, largely because of human activity. In some areas, they have simply disappeared. But if you visit India's evergreen wetlands, you are more likely to see this rainbow mouse roaming the trees
